Frequently Asked Questions
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY QUESTIONS
Q: What style of photography do you use?
A: We employ a variation of formal traditional & informal photo-journalistic styles.
During the wedding ceremony, we rely on an unobtrusive photo-journalistic style of
photography and during posed portrait sessions we employ a more traditional style.
We always ask to meet with you to discuss what style you are more comfortable with.
We also note your reactions to our sample albums and prints to help guide us.
Q: At what point during the ceremony do you take formal photographs?
A: We like to recommend shooting formal photography directly after the wedding
ceremony, this allows wedding guests time to enjoy a moment before the reception
ceremony gets underway. We have had many requests in the past and have taken
formals at different intervals during the day. The Bride & Groom have the flexibility
to select an appropriate time that will meet the planning needs of their wedding. We
believe it is your day and will accommodate your desires!
Q: What cameras/lenses do you use?
A: We use professional grade Canon digital and Bronica medium format cameras
and lenses. Film is used only as a backup unless otherwise requested. We normally
have a total of 4 complete camera systems on hand!
Q: How far in advance do we have to book you?
A: Generally we begin booking 9 - 12 months in advance of a wedding event.
Please do not hesitate to call for an event that is just around the corner, we have
booked events in the past very close to the date of the event.
Q: How can we reserve our wedding date, what is your policy?
A: Often we will have multiple inquiries for specific dates and in order to make
things easier for everyone, we have a first come first serve policy regarding event
bookings. A deposit will guarantee your date, as we only book one event per day. Full
payment must be made two weeks prior to your wedding date.
Q: Do you or does someone else actually show up at the wedding?
A: Since we only book one event per day, we will be the ones who will be working with
you! We hope to have gotten to know each other well enough for you to feel comfortable with
us. You do not need the added stress of a stranger showing up to do your photographs!
